Personal cask ledger

The Rickhouse Ledger

Every bottle you own, every bottle you're after: collection, watchlist and gaps, all in one ledger that updates itself.
Welcome back

The hunt, the cabinet, the ledger.

A quick look at where things stand: what's leading, what's a steal, and what just made it into the cabinet.
What you're looking at
Like what you see? Tell me when it opens →
New here? Six things worth knowing. It is also under Tools any time.
What you are looking at a real whiskey, wine and cigar collection with real assessments, frozen so anyone can walk through it. Every tab is the live app reading live data, so press anything you like. Nothing here can be changed or saved.
It grades the collection, and says whyopen Analysis for a letter grade with a written rationale per dimension: regional spread, production style, cask finish, age, proof and rarity. The panel under the grade explains how it is worked out and why the bands are hard.
One photo adds a bottlethe camera reads the label and fills the form in: distillery, mash bill, proof, age statement, batch and barrel number. Press Watch a bottle being scanned on any collection tab to see a real one replayed.
A store pick stays a store pickbarrel number, dump date, warehouse and its own proof, all kept apart from the standard bottling. Most trackers fold a private barrel into the generic product. This one keeps them separate.
It is built for an insurance claimTools → Insurance report builds a dated schedule with a photograph of each bottle, market values instead of sticker prices, and a note saying where every figure came from.
It points at the cabinet, not just the shopping listwhat is open, what you have not touched in months, what tonight's pour should be, what a bottle has cost you per pour. All on Home, all free.
A cellar that knows when to drink itopen any wine for its drinking window and where it sits in the cellar. Home lists what is past its window or closing on it, and the wine Analysis breaks the cellar down by region, country and vintage.
A humidor, not just a listopen any cigar for its box date and code, how long it has rested, and how many have been smoked.
An infinity barrel that actually adds upthe Barrel tab tracks what went into a solera vessel, what is left, its composition and proof, and reconciles the pours nobody remembered to log.
Ask it about your own shelfClaudius answers questions against your collection, searching the web when a question needs it.
What is the assessment, exactly
Who grades it
Claudius, an AI assessor, reading the recorded facts about every bottle: style, cask, age, proof and rarity. It never sees your own ratings, so it cannot flatter you.
What the letter means
spread, not quality and not size. A shelf built around one style scores low by design, which is a finding about its range and not a verdict on the bottles. Open Analysis and the panel under the grade says so in full.
Why this demo is a C
because the bands are hard and an A is close to unreachable. A grader that flattered everyone would tell you nothing.
If you disagree with it
every dimension carries its reasoning, so there is something to argue with and not just a letter.
What is here now
Whiskey, wine and cigars
each with its own collection, watchlist, analysis and reference views, and fields that suit it.
A shared catalogue that grows itself
when one person researches a bottle, everybody who adds it afterwards gets the specs and the photograph. Every entry traces back to a bottle somebody actually owns.
Your data is yours
full backup, a share link that withholds what you paid and when you bought it, and Download as a spreadsheet on Home, which opens in Excel and pastes straight back into the bulk import.
Only what you collect
a wine-only collector can switch whiskey and cigars off and the tabs go away. Nothing is deleted.
On your phone's home screen
add it from your browser's share menu and it opens full screen, like an app.
The club has its own tab
The Rickhouse says what the club is, what is coming for members, and gives a year in review read straight off the shelf.
What you entered stays yours to read
the AI is the part that costs money to run. Your own records are never taken away from you.
What is coming
Still being built
this is a working app in a private pilot, not a finished product, and the roadmap moves with what pilot users ask for.
More of the club
pilot members can already opt in to see who else holds a bottle they are after. More ways to compare notes with people who collect what you do come as the club grows, which is why a group is a better place to start than a crowd.
A store app, eventually
everything you are looking at works in a phone browser today and installs to the home screen. An app-store app comes later.
More categories
the model fits tequila, rum and cognac. Nobody has asked loudly enough yet.
How to get in
It is a private pilot for now
a small group already using it, so that problems get found by people who can be talked to.
It will not stay that way
opening it to everyone is the next step. No date, because the schedule moves with what the pilot turns up.

Should I buy this?
In a shop? Point the camera at the label and it says whether that bottle is already on your shelf, how much of that producer you own, and whether you were watching for it. It does not price it. Ask Claudius for that.
Pick my blind
A tasting flight of three, built out of your own whiskey so it teaches something rather than being three at random. You pour knowing the bottles; the carousel shuffles the glasses and the card in its pocket holds the answer. Whiskey only.
Tonight's pour
Can't decide? Weighted toward what you haven't rated yet, so the backlog actually gets worked through.
Pairing finder
Pick anything you own, whisky, wine or a cigar, and see what else in the cabinet pairs well, based on proof, wrapper and style.
Your data
Whisky, wine, cigars, watchlists and notes. Everything you have entered, as one file you keep. Worth doing now and then. Restoring replaces what is currently here, so it is also how you move to another account or undo a bad import.
